Name: Review:
I was initially excited about purchasing these Sandisk Extreme SSD drives for my music collection and main removable drive for DJ work. Having a backup with a clone copy on hand made me feel secure, but unfortunately, that security was short-lived.

A few days before my New Year's Eve gig, I had a lot of time on my hands and spent hours fine-tuning my playlists, and when I went to load them onto the master drive, there were no files present. However, I did have a backup copy, but it was also empty, which proved to be a disaster.

This experience led to a cancellation of my gig, financial loss, and damage to my reputation with the club where I perform regularly. This was compounded by a heated discussion with Sandisk's customer support team, who told me that data loss was not their responsibility, despite having a 5-year warranty. The warranty was ultimately worthless, and I've since discovered multiple lawsuits against Sandisk for similar issues.

I had done some research before purchasing these drives and found out about the reliability of other brands like Samsung Kingston and Crucial. It's frustrating to think that my music collection is worth £60,000 pounds in track value alone, but with only 43,000 tracks on one drive, I'm lucky to have gotten most of it back.

To avoid similar situations in the future, I've decided to stick with a different brand and recommend using Samsung Kingston or Crucial. It's not cheap, but saving £20 per drive is an investment worth considering for someone who values their music collection.

I bought this 1TB ssd for my travel needs, hoping it would work with my iPhone, since I have a lot of camera footage to back up from shoots. The portability factor was a big consideration, and I hoped it would be compatible with the new iPhone models.

The SSD itself works well, although its maximum transfer speed is approx 270MB/s when using default hardware on the MagicBook Pro. However, faster speeds are expected, as seen in my other HDDs. One thing that's noticeable is how hot it gets while in use - more than the 500GB version I have.

The connection to my iPhone via a Lightning port feels flimsy and weak, although both the 1TB and 500GB versions work with an original Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. In fact, I was able to get them working seamlessly even after trying different adapters, which surprised me. When saving files or tinkering with data on the SSD, I often run into issues with "This accessory requires too much power", but once I re-connected it and deleted any affected files, the problem went away.

I've also found that connecting the SSD to a laptop can help speed up loading times when viewing content on my iPhone. Another option is to scan for errors while plugged in, which seems to fix most issues. Unfortunately, this still triggers "This accessory requires too much power" whenever I try to save or edit data on the SSD.

I've tried using an adapter specifically designed for 5-port hubs with a higher power output (24W), and it seems to work just as well. When connected to my iPhone via the hub, it was able to read both the 1TB and 500GB versions of the SSD at once - another bonus! In terms of folder load times, there's no noticeable difference when using the hub versus not.

However, I did notice that some large folders (around 90GB) were struggling to be read by my iPhone. The cut-off point was around 65GB, but even larger files get split into smaller folders due to poor performance. Despite this, I was able to view these files directly on my iPhone - another advantage of the hub.

Overall, my experience with this SSD has been a mixed bag, and I'm hoping that finding a solution will be the key to unlocking optimal performance.

I've had this particular brand's storage for years with a remarkable track record. The tiny unit may be compact, but its capacity has earned my trust and respect. A staggering 2 Terabytes of data savings comes from this clever design, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to declutter their digital lives.

One of the standout features is its built-in cable end converter, which enables seamless connectivity with both USB 2.0 and USB 3 devices. This means that users can easily swap out cables without having to worry about compatibility issues. The data transfer speeds are incredibly fast, allowing for quick and hassle-free file sharing between computers.

A simple yet effective process opens up the device once plugged into a PC: the pre-installed software is activated to ensure security, while a password is created for first-time use - all of which can be managed through a straightforward setup process. The unit is also configured to 'remember' certain PCs, ensuring that they don't require passwords every time used.

A lightweight and compact design makes this storage unit perfect for slipping into any laptop bag or pocket, even one's handbag. As long as you lose the device, accessing your data will be impossible without a password - an added layer of security that I've found to be both reassuring and liberating.
