Product Reviews

Name: Review:
I've taken a close look at your review and made some adjustments to improve its clarity and flow.

Works great and is very easy to set up. Quite noisy and you can feel the ticks within my desk. You have to use the enclosed PSU, which uses a lot more power than other HDDs, but I'm glad it's designed for this kind of load. The 26TB capacity means I can donate all these old units! This drive comes with an extensive range of pin adaptors - including EU, UK, Oz, and US versions - so you're covered for any future upgrades.

I've purchased this primarily to back up my main file server and store it offsite. To initially copy 21TB took around 30 hours, which I've done several times already! Once that's complete, the weekly update takes about a minute, leaving plenty of time for other tasks. This drive is perfect for big data applications - my personal preference is to keep it separate from my main file server for security and convenience reasons.

You may not want to use this as a permanently connected drive due to its size, noise level, and overall build quality. It's definitely better suited for transportation or offsite storage rather than being plugged in constantly. The built-in drive offers so many benefits - speed, power, ventilation, vibration proofing - that I wouldn't recommend using it for anything else.

When connecting the drive to my PC, I've found that Windows needs to be set to 'Not indexed' and my antivirus software needs to be configured to disable checks while the drive is attached. This may take some time, but it's worth it for the extra security. With around 5.6 GHz of processing power and 32GB of RAM, this PC can keep up with big data loads nicely!

The hard drive has emerged as a reliable choice for those seeking affordable storage solutions, bucking the trend of memory devices that promise cheaper per megabyte prices. As an expensive option for most users, it offers great value at the cost of moderate performance when transferring data in and out.

For those with substantial video libraries, this device is undoubtedly the best opton available, boasting robustness to safeguard sensitive data and handle data transfer at a decent rate. Its reliability is further enhanced by its durability, allowing users to drive their data securely without worrying about losing precious storage space.

It seems like a robust device, even if its power supply and cables aren't the most conventional. It's certainly loud, with a ticking sound as it writes/reads. I've been using it on my desk for a while now, and it's been a reliable backup solution.

The numbers are pretty impressive - 28TB is nearly twice the capacity of my older external HDDs. I've even taken to writing to it from time to time to see how long it takes to fill up. Its average write speed was about 100-150MB/sec, which isn't too shabby for a device of its size.

The included power supply output is a bit unusual - 12V and 1.5A should result in around 18W. I've opted for the extended warranty, as it includes a pre-paid return option if anything goes wrong.

I was initially hesitant about getting an external HDD, but this one has proven to be a reliable backup solution. It's taken nine years of use, and none of them have ever malfunctioned. Although I've dug out my old 20-year-old ones just to make sure they're still working, it's reassuring to know that this device is built like a tank.

Data recovery services may not succeed in retrieving your data if everything fails - but at least you'll be protected by the extended warranty.
