I've got my eye on some LG 43 inch TVs, already had an LG 55 inch, was thinking of getting another smaller one for my son's bedroom because they're great at living room and I just love their colours. Found out it would be perfect for the wall due to a cable that wasn't there yet. Purchased a portable coaxal aerial one on the way home from TV testing in my bedroom, worked like a charm. Went through the setup process when starting up the new TV, had no issues whatsoever. The voice is hilarious, sounds like someone who's been up for a while. Got to the tuning part where it asked for my postcode and thought that was all done at once, until I found out I needed to enter some details before they would let me tune in channels.
I'm glad I took the time to go through the instructions again, as I didn't notice anything wrong. Made a note of Live TV being "Not Programmed" initially, but when I got back to it later on, it said "Tuning and automatic channel selection". It did take me a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get to the channels, so that was no problem.
When my son woke up the next morning, he discovered the LG TV option, which is amazing! He can now watch whatever he wants via the streaming LK option. His gaming options are also quite impressive. I did have a bit of a fiddle with some of the settings to get everything just right for him, but it was worth it in the end.
I've been having some trouble getting this thing set up, though - it's always asking me questions and taking so long to do things. It does sound like there are some differences between the two models that I haven't noticed yet. I'm also going to have to take a look at LG TV settings on my lounge TV as well, which I think might be something new for us.
I've attached a few photos of my setup process - not exactly ideal, I know! They're just taken early in the morning when everything is bright and the bedroom light was on. Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase, and it's good value for what you get.
