Product Reviews

Name: Review:
I was pleasantly surprised with this monitor's clean picture, which offered an 1440p resolution I had been looking for. The colours were vivid and contrasts were fair for my IPS panel - a great match for me. However, I did notice that two Display Port inputs and two HDMI ports made connectivity somewhat limited, especially considering the relatively high price point of £128.

The monitor itself was decent, with built-in speakers that felt okay, but nothing special. They were tinny sounding and had a bit of a rattling quality when turned up, which I found disturbing - as I paid around £130 for this, I expected something more satisfying.

I was skeptical when I first saw the price tag on this monitor, but my doubts were quickly alleviated by the offer from KTC and a voucher that brought the price down to £167.99 at the time of writing. Given the current prices in the market, it's clear that I'm getting an exceptional bargain here - even without considering the original listing price of £219.99.

In my case, I chose not to opt for an OLED monitor due to concerns over burn-in and current technology prices. However, after some tinkering with settings, this IPS monitor exceeded my expectations in terms of color accuracy and brightness. While it's true that the screen has a slightly matte finish and shows more grey tones than expected, I've found ways to mitigate these issues through careful settings.

One of the standout features of this monitor is its 300Hz response time - which, when paired with the powerful GPU I'm using, ensures that smooth and seamless gameplay. Response times feel great, and I've been able to play games at high frame rates without any issues. My graphics card, meanwhile, has no trouble keeping up with demanding titles like Fortnite.

The design of this monitor is sleek and stylish, with a vertical tilt mechanism and RGB lighting options that add a touch of personality. The base model comes in two pieces, making it easy to assemble the monitor without tools - just attach one part using captive screws and you're good to go. A displayport cable is also included for seamless connectivity.

I've been impressed by the build quality of this monitor so far - there aren't any obvious imperfections, and I'm pleased to report that I haven't found any signs of backlight bleed from this IPS panel. Buttons are located on the back and may take a few seconds to recognize which button corresponds to what action, but overall the experience is straightforward.

Despite some initial concerns about brightness limitations, I've found that games look great in low-light conditions - especially with my light bar setup. And at under £250, this monitor represents an unbeatable value for the price. With two further monitors from KTC on the horizon to replace my old ones, I'm confident that this purchase will pay off in the long run.

The monitor's 4K resolution is certainly decent, and it's great that the included stand is an affordable option for those on a budget.

While I was pleased with the overall performance and image quality of this monitor in office work and content viewing, there were some notable issues with color accuracy, particularly when displaying DCI-P3 content.

In terms of technical specifications, the monitor delivers 96% gamut volume and 87.2% gamut coverage for DCI-P3, which is a bit lower than what I had expected given its price point.

One thing that stood out to me was the lack of dead pixels on delivery - it's great to see this reflected in the monitor itself.

When placed on a better stand with more adjustable VESA mounting options, the image quality improves significantly. Calibration using DisplayCAL seems to produce accurate results for the included image.
